‘Neither Virtue Nor Anger’, the incendiary and long out-of-print debut album from Italian band Sonic Jesus, is being reissued by Fuzz Club to mark its ten year anniversary. The landmark debut double album the Doganella di Ninfa-based Sonic Jesus first emerged in April 2015 and is now available on vinyl once again with a new mix by band-leader and songwriter Tiziano Veronese and a fresh remaster courtesy of Simone Veronese. Arriving a decade ago off the back of a self-titled debut EP, a split 10" with The Black Angels and heavy European touring, ‘Neither Virtue Nor Anger’ became an instant underground cult classic amongst the burgeoning European psych scene. If up to that point Sonic Jesus had been described as “one of psych’s best kept secrets” (Shindig! Magazine) or “a well kept secret and hidden gem from the psych underworld” (Clash Magazine), on release of ‘Neither Virtue Nor Anger’, it seemed the secret was out.

"At times punishing and primitive, Neither Virtue Nor Anger possesses an elusive, brutal beauty”, wrote The Quietus, “Sonic Jesus have conclusively proved themselves the contemporary psych-drone masters.” Elsewhere, Drowned In Sound wrote: “Neither Virtue Nor Anger goes above and beyond the realms of your average psych record... Instead, it takes the form of an industrial barrage of hypnotic sounds and devilish mantras. The resurrection just got louder...” This new remixed and remastered anniversary edition is released February 27th 2026 and pressed up on a gatefold ‘gold nugget’ 2LP, limited to 300 hand-numbered copies.

On the album’s anniversary, Tiziano says: “On April 16th, 2015, Neither Virtue Nor Anger was released — our first album. A dark, visceral, noisy journey, filled with rage and redemption. We didn’t know where it would take us, but we knew it was real. Now, ten years later, we’re still deeply connected to those raw frequencies and that restless energy.
